Biography

Michael McGrath is the Engineering Director at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado at Boulder and an adjunct in the Aerospace Engineering department. His career has focused on the development of systems for space, with experience in space hardware design and management extending back to the Pioneer Venus mission, and including NASA’ Voyager, Solar Mesospheric Explorer, Solar Max Repair, Cassini, TIMED, The Student Nitric Oxide Explorer satellite and SORCE missions. He most recently participated in NASA’s Aeronomy of Ice in the Mesosphere SMEX Mission as Project Manager.
